OTWARCIE WYSTAWY 13.09 GODZ. 18.00 „Nie ma jak w domu” to najsłynniejszy cytat z Czarnoksiężnika z Oz wypowiedziany przez Dorotkę po jej powrocie do Kansas. Nasz dom jest zawsze najlepszy. Czy to dlatego że jest nasz? Wystawa zaczyna się od socjologicznej koncepcji domu oraz bada jego idealizacje, jako projekcje naszych pragnień, poświęceń i oczekiwań. Wspólny leitmotiv dla dwóch środków przekazu, którymi posługuje się artysta, to ironia. Niekwestionowanym motywem przewodnim są małe prymitywne budynki, miniatury domów, zbudowanych z tanich lub pochodzących z recyklingu materiałów, bez roszczeń estetycznych. Są one odtwarzane na płótnach niewielkich rozmiarów i unoszą się pośrodku kojącego, pastelowego tła. Godny uwagi jest kontrast między surowością konstrukcji a stonowanymi kolorami tła, ostre szczegóły i lapidarna technika malarska. I to właśnie ten ostry kontrast sprawia, że prace Rondy Bautisty są tak oryginalne i relaksujące. Hasłem jest gra

“There is no place like home” is the most famous quote from "The Wonderful Wizard of Oz", pronounced by Dorothy when she is back at home. Is there no place like home for real or is it because it is about our own home? This exhibition starts from the sociological concept of home and explore its idealization as projection of our desires, sacrifices and expectations. The common leitmotiv of the two mediums, with which the artist express herself, is irony. Undisputed theme are small rudimentary buildings, houses in minatures built with recycled or low-cost material with no aesthetic claims. These are depicted on small paintings, and fluctuate in the middle of them on restful pastel backgrounds. Noticeable is the contrast between those rough buildings and the subtle colours on the background, between the clear details and the essential, direct and concise technique of this painting. Nevertheless, such sharp opposition makes these works of art so icastic, original and relaxing. Rallying cry: game, then hav fun!

Ronda Bautista Lόpez was born in Talavera de la Reina, in the province of Toledo, in 1984. Her education is academic, indeed she graduated in Fine Arts in Cuenca (University of Castile-La Mancia) in 2007 and finished Doctorate Program Studies in Fine Arts at the University of Pontevedra in 2009. Since 2011 she has been permanently living in Krakow, where she had already lived in 2005 during her Erasmus. Tireless and always on the job, as one can deduce from her dense curriculum and from the numerous expositions in Spain and in Poland of which she was protagonist. Her talent has been acknowledged and celebrated in different occasions, the last time was in 2013 at the XXXI National Painting Contest Castillo de San Fernando, Bolaños de Calatrava (Ciudad Real).
